Hello all,
This is my first post so be gentle! lol
Ive had a PLV-Z1 for about 15 months now and I have sent it into service twice because I get green vertical lines in the image spaced about every 6 pixels or so. It varies by the amount of green that will be present on the screen (ex. the matrix movies ALWAYS have major green lines). It decreases in intensity after about an hour of being used. Any Ideas what it could be? I really would hate to send it back to them AGAIN for them to "fix" it for about 2 hours of use.
Any input is appreciated!

Cancel that. I have found a solution. If any of you are having vertical lines or vertical banding, visit this page:

Hope this helps others!
To think that I sent out my projector a couple times for a fix that took me 15 seconds once I knew what to do!

New update... The vertical lines are coming back :(
Worst part is, I can adjust them via the service settings but they vary during usage.
What I mean is, when you first turn it on, there are prevalent green lines in the image. After about 90 minutes, it is is about even and then 30 minutes later it has too little green. So it just fades over time from heavy green to lines to lines lacking the additional green.
The standard solution of doing what I found above will fix it temporarily as the lines change while it is warming up. Quite frankly, its almost un-noticable after 2 hours of usage (its still there if you look) but it takes nearly 2 hours to be like that. Any suggestions on how to fix?
This board is a great resource. Thanks for the info everyone!

I have the same problem from time to time on my Z1. I even sent it back to Studio Experience, but they could not duplicate the problem. After talking with their tech for a while, he thinks the problem solved itself because the PJ was off for a while. After it was back for a while, the problem came back one day after a power outage. I unplugged the PJ (not just tun it off, take the power cord out) for around 5 minutes. Plugged it back in, no more lines! It happened one more time (again, a power outage), and unplugging it for 5 minutes did the trick. Good luck!
