Noisy Bravo D2

I recently purchased Bravo D2. I have hooked it up with Panny L500U projector. I am outputting at 720p and the PQ is outstanding. No complains. Much better the Samsung I'd purchased (and returned) earlier.

However, it seems a little noisy for a DVD player. I can usually hear the DVD disc spinning (when there is no other noise). Of course, it's not an issue when movie is playing. Has anyone else noticed this? Any suggestions?

Forgive me bringing back an old thread from the dead, but I just wanted to say that my unit also has a bad case of a whining loader. I guess I can just place it in the shelf built into my tv stand and close the hinged door, but I shouldn't have to do this with a dvd player. Anybody else have this problem? Was this their attempt to correct loader issues from the last model (D1)? The player works perfectly, sans the noise (which you won't hear unless it is a quiet scene). I would hate to have to return this one, only to get another just as noisy.
