Hey Creech I also have a gmail account but I haven't got invites to give out in weeks, this the case with you?

I only ever got 2 to send out .. which went pretty fast.. but I never got any more after that..

This one showed up today. Perhaps they wait for a certain number of pieces of mailing coming in and going out before assigning more invites?

I think you're right. I received an invite soon after signing up, when I had a rapid back-and-forth discussion with someone, but after that died down I hardly use it and I haven't had any more invites.

I think I'll go e-mail myself...a lot. :)

I guess I missed them because they moved the location to the left from the top. But on one of the accounts I have literally received 3 emails and sent 2. And that one I never even read or opened at all...So I don't know that volume always has to do with it :)

I finally got one to give away.. first and (only one) in months... don't bother asking me, I gave it to my sister.. (when I get thru the list of family/friends that I know that want one, if I have any left I will post em here of course at the rate google is forking them over... it may be a long wait..

Noone answers my noob questions, almost never. I answer alot of dumb questions so I feel entitled to dumb answers on demand. Unfortunately we all know it doesn't work that way. I have to take what I get just like all the people whom I provide dumb answers. Sure, I'll occasionally send some noob to upgrade their hard drive with RTVtools, but most of my dumb questions are not answered at all. I should at least get them answered by someone dumber then me that happens to know more about the subject then I do. but no...

At the moment no, but when I have exhausted the friends/family list I got, I will post a memo here letting folks know I have some to give away.. best I can do for now.. personally I would love to give one to anybody who asked me, but google is being stingy with the invites..

I got 1 invite when I first got my Gmail account, sent it to my wife, who promptly forgot about it and let it expire. I did get another one a few days ago (long since gone) but it was ~1-2mths between invites for me.

It just occured to me that I signed up for blogger.com last night and put my gmail account down as the account on record. Blogger.com is owned by Google. I wonder if they are give invites based on crossing products....

Wow they just hit a couple of my accounts with 5 invites each today. First time since about a week after I signed up (when I also got 5) that they gave me any more than 1.

Yes, this just happened to me but after waiting 10 minutes or so they reappeared.

yeah i've got around that many as well. i got tired of trying to offer gmail invitations to members in the forums i visit. and with this insane amount of invitations, it'll be tougher to get rid of. i just used the gMail spooler (http://isnoop.net/gmail/) and submitted like 20 invitations. i'm still waiting to receive an email by gmail stating they've been used. there's just too many invitations to be offered.

another thing to note. back in 2004, i signed up at gmail to be notified when i could sign up. within a cuople of days i got somebody to invite me. just yesterday i got an email from gmail inviting me to sign up....same thing with a friend of mine.
