I own a Monivision 30" DM6552SWTC with vision box. I also have some problems adjusting the set when using the component input and vga inputs.

To access this menu, turn off the tv, then hold down the chan+ button and press the power button to turn it on. When you press the menu button, you will see the picture menu option and can adjust the picture settings. After all is done, turn off the tv and turn it back on. The settings will remain. If you do the same technique with the Vol+ or Chan- button, it will reset the tv to the factory settings.

I haven't found all of the secret codes yet, but would appreciate it if anyone else has found any interesting hidden features.

Please note that the code above affects only the VisionBox inputs. If you do not have the VisionBox then the codes will probably not work.

To modify the settings for the VGA input, you can just go directly to the on-screen display menu by pressing the Menu button on the remote or on the display itself.

Pressing CH+ and POWER together enters fatory mode and will alter the factory defaults. If need arises, you can force a master reset CH- and POWER.

Sorry to bring this old thread back to life. Can you have seperate component and vga picture settings or are the factory mode pic settings global?

AFAIK, yes, if the DM-6552SW behaves the same as the DM-5948S. What I hated about having the visionbox was juggling the brightness and contrast setting for the monitor itself, and then there were the brightness and contrast levels that could be set on the vision box.
