I'm looking at this TV for my daughters bedroom
Does anyone have any input on it? Good / Bad?
I did a search and couldn't come up with anything.

It's the only 24" TV that I would buy because only Toshiba & Sanyo have the 16:9 DVD Mode on their 24" sets. You made the right choice :D

I bought this TV for our bedroom and am very pleased. I have Comcast regular cable and the picture is great. You can't go wrong, especially with price under $300.

After searching for 2 months, I chose the Toshiba 24AF44 as being the best SD set I could find, at any price. Although I've placed it just 7 feet away, there's no loss of perceived picture quality. At that distance, it appears larger than a 35-inch set that is 12 feet away. I'm using it right now to view the Internet. I've had it 5 months and have had no problems.
Using it with component connections to my new Toshiba RD-XS52 DVD/HDD recorder, the picture looks even sharper. When I played DVDs I made myself from 3-CCD DV camcorder footage, neighbors thought they were seeing HDTV. Before I got this set, I was planning to buy an HDTV, but now there's little incentive to do that. This one will do nicely until the new generation of thin-profile HDTV CRT sets comes out and maybe even until the 2nd and improved generation of them is introduced.

I just bought one today. I was very impressed until I hooked it up to my TiVo. It is very noisy when it is hooked up. Hiss....Hiss....Hiss.... I moved it into another room where I have another TiVo, and had the same results. My TiVo's are hooked up to my Onkyo Stereo system, and a Panasonic TV. Both can be turned up to very high volume with no noise at all. The 24AF44 is very noisy attached to either TiVo, but plays DVD's and other inputs with no problem. I guess I'll take it back tomorrow, and get the Sony.
Just to update, I went back to BB, and they took the Toshiba back with no problem. I bought the 24" Sony instead, and it resolved the audio problems. The Toshiba definitely had the better picture. It is unfortunate that it had this problem, as I liked it better than the Sony.

Jim
