Restore the PREVIOUS software version on a 50xx or 55xx:cdsys
mv boot.state boot.state.bak
reboot
WARNING: If there is NO previous software available on your ReplayTV, this command will render your ReplayTV DOA! :o  :(

EXPLANATION: The "cdsys" command automatically changes to whatever sys directory the ReplayTV is currently running from (i.e. sys1 or sys2).
The "mv boot.state boot.state.bak" command renames a file critical to the boot process, which causes the ReplayTV to think the current software is corrupt and revert to the backup on the next reboot.

NOTE: Once the Net Connect completes, SHUTDOWN WiRNS. Remove the two commands above from your "shellcmds" file before continuing to use WiRNS. If you fail to do so, the next time the ReplayTV Net Connects will be its last until you re-image the drive.

DISCLAIMER: Warning! This procedure, while tested successfully on a few ReplayTVs (YMMV, of course), does involve some degree of risk. Please understand that if something goes wrong, you will likely have to re-image your ReplayTV's hard drive--losing all recordings etc. Moreover, while unlikely, it is possible that this procedure could render your ReplayTV permanently inoperable. I will not be held responsible for any damage caused by the use or misuse of this information. Use at your own risk! Source (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?postid=4269270#post4269270)

If you don't bump every link in your list then the list becomes useless.

..or update some of the links in the thread to point to the archives.

Right now there's some bad links in the list.

(I'll delete this post in a day or two)

I think he doesn't want people to post in this thread. (That's why I said I was going to delete my post(s) within a day or two.

I think my idea of bumping every post is flawed.

It makes MOOcho more sense for him to update the links in his original post after they enter the archive (where they change to a new URL).

Whichever way, he has some dead links that should be addressed or his list will be thought of as antidated.
If you don't bump every link in your list then the list becomes useless.
No longer true, because Mr. Bott's "new and improved" software now recognizes the "most recent" archived posts and his new "Second Chance" logic actually finds the original post. [MUCH BETTER than his original attempts where "Duplicate Keys" were either discarded or overlayed...]
...Right now there's some bad links in the list.
You also mentioned this after the last archive.

*IF* you would be so kind as to LIST the bad LINKs in a PM to me, I'd be most thankful and would gladly correct them.
...(I'll delete this post in a day or two)
Thank you! :)
