DVD player recomendation for Samsung TXP3071

Does anyone have a DVD recomendation for a Samsung TXP3071 TV. Should a get a decent progressive scan player, or go for a upscaling player and use the TVs DVI port.

I have the same set. I have used the toshiba 4900 in the past because it was region free. However, I wasn't impressed with the picture. I'm eventually going to try the zenith dvb318. I'm curious as to what others use with the TV. Thanks

I just bought a Cyberhome 655 upscale player to use for this set and the picture looks awesome. 720p is noticeably better compared to a 480p component picture.

I've got a Sony crt set and I use the Oppo OPDV971H DVD Player. This player has a Faroudja video processor and also upscales over DVI. It does an outstanding job for a $199 player. Check it out in the DVD Player forum, there are two ongoing threads for it.
