The broadcom 3720 satellite set top box decoder can be use on both satellite and DVB applications.

So, how would you use this feature:
- Simutanelously supports two TVs with independent programming and on-screen graphics displays.

I think I'm limiting myself by thinking of how this could be used in your home. I can see applications outside the house, but not in the house unless you are thinking of using it as a video server that could deliver video to two rooms.

Good luck getting anything technical out of Broadcom... We had to pay them $50K and an NDA just to get a datasheet from them (for a cable modem chipset).

Oh, did you get my email from a few weeks back?

Ted, I agree with you, I don't think they are the most customer oritented company of all the chip vendors.

There was a new release that says DNNA has chosen to go with Broadcom in the next gen products. I don't think it's a great idea. But... like you I've not had good experience with them.

BTW, not sure about the email, I don't think I've seen anything new from you.

check your Gmail... sent it again... RE your HW questions.

BTW, I'm working in your neck of the woods now... El Camino and Rengstorff.

I would use it to create an autonomous robot for exploring other planets in the solar system.

Same here with their enet switches; the documentation is TERRIBLE and broadcomm is little with their own support because half of what they sell was acquired (they bought it) from someone else.
