One of the annoying things about remote controls is that they are IR and it's tough to find anything with RF/UHF capability. This is especailly true with Direct TV, Dish and cable systems. I have been using a Terk pyramid with one of those converters you attach with velcro to the front end of the remote. Problem is that it keeps falling off and there is a delay of sending the signal up to 3 seconds. Check out weaknees.com also solid signal.com

This RF convertor is installed in the battery compartment as part of the rechargeable battery. Just got it and it works great from anywhere in my house. Absolutely no delay. And if you are controlling two TV's from the same box they sell a separte set of convertors/batteries. That is all.

There used to be many receivers available with RF remotes, most people werent buying them because they were more expensive, and to many people are cheap , cheap, cheap...Two of my Direct recievers have RF remotes...work great.
