I currently have DirecTV and was browsing the Dish Network site, and saw the Dish 322 standard receiver

DISH 322 features two tuners for independent satellite TV viewing on two separate televisions, all in a slim-line chassis design.

FEATURES:

Two tuners for independent viewing of satellite TV programming in two rooms with a single receiver.
“Agile modulated mono output” can send the second tuner’s signal to multiple televisions via home distributions.
DISH Home Interactive TV
On-screen Electronic Program Guide (EPG) with access to up to two days of program listings/information.
Parental control locks, themes lists, favorites lists, program browse,
one-touch channel return, closed-caption support and alternate audio.

I was always thinking of adding a receiver to my room, but the $5 seemed like such a waste since I hardly watch TV in there, but something like this would be perfect. Does DirecTV make a version like this or plan on it?

Thanks!

There was a two tuner last year at CES. Never got made. Just get a single tuner and split it off to a second TV. Use the second TV when you want, otherwise your first TV will work just the same as before.

Yeah, that's what I'm doing now, I had one of those Leapfrog remote extenders and this is the second unit that worked beautifully for a little bit, and then just stopped working, so I guess I'll just go into the other room to change the channel.
