Hi,
I have taken the leap and purchased my first HT setup. To save money, I've order everything online. The only problem is, I'm not sure what I'm going to need to wire the whole thing together. It would be awesome if someone could tell me what I need to connect everything. Also any tips and tricks would be greatly appreciated as I am new to this.

TV:
~ Toshiba 52HM84 52" HD Monitor DLP Projection TV

Receiver:
~ Pioneer VSX-1014TX-K THX Select A/V Receiver with MCACC

Center Channel:
~ Athena Dual 5.5" 2-Way 125 Watt Center Channel Speaker AS-C1

Left and Right:
~ (2x) Athena Dual 8" 2-Way 200 Watt Floor Standing Speaker AS-F2

Rear Left and Right:
~ (2x) Athena AS-R1 bipole Speaker

Thanks,
Jake

RG-6 coax for the component wiring to the TV (3 coaxs. Y, Pr, Pb).
12awg speaker wire available from H depot or online from Parts Express for the speakers.

Don't buy into the wire snake oil out there for your source (DVD, etc) interconnects, just order good quality ones from Parts Express (like their Dayton brand) and you'll be fine. There are many other reasonably priced suppliers out there as well. Steer clear of Monster cable unless you're getting it severely discounted.

I've read a little bit about that type of connection. Could you explain what it is a little more, in the interest of education.
Thanks,
Jake

Pacific Cable (http://www.pacificcable.com) should have everything you need. Unless you are already good at soldering and crimping your own cables save yourself the time and frustration. I would recommend one of the Python Component Video Cables for your TV and bulk speaker wire from Home Depot.

Jacob, what's your video source(s)?

Larry,
I will be getting an HD Comcast box shortly after the TV is delivered. I wanted to get a good DVD player to complement the PQ on my new set, but with HD-DVD seemingly not too far on the horizon, I'm not sure. I'll also be plugging in the Playstation 2 periodically. Maybe a PVR eventually.
