81x61 is the size of the screen. Wall painted with Gliddens Misty Evening.
Amazing paint color.

I bought 4 -1x3 MDF Primed white moulding material , does not shrink or warp. I mitred the ends. I covered it with black felt. Used angle braces on the back of each corner. Hung it from the wall with 4 number 8 screws and put on little black plastic caps on the screw heads. Turned out pretty good.

Please no comments about my centre channel, I am getting a new CC-350 Today!

That's about exactly what I have today. Building an addition now for a dedicated room, my next plan is the wall will be the screen. The wall color for the screen will be Misty Evening, the border will not be true black this time but a shade of gray yet to be determined. The true black of the frame shows how not black the blacks are on the projector. So I'm working on a little illusion deal here to aid perception. I'm a big fan of perfect framing. The screen will be 16x9 but I will have two boards that are hinged top and bottom that I can pivot in and out of 2.35. This I feel is a easy way to have perfect framing for all my 16X9 and 2.35 material, which is all I have. Can't wait to see what the final results bring.

(just realized your wall is the screen...)

Kinda what I ended up with too...

Tried the first surface mirror light fusion and the CRT screen goo stuff and some cheap HD silver screen mix.
Ended up scrapping everything and just going back to the eggshell texture ultra white I started with. The border I did with 3.5 inch wide moulding cut to fit in $10 mitre box and spray painted with 98 cents worth of the cheapest flat black, that seems to suck up light as well as some felt held up next to it..
Seems to give the most crisp and acurate color from my Panny 500 in my light controlled basement on a 52.5 x 93.5 size.

I love that my Little Man can put hands on the wall or whatever and it's such easy maintanence to fix or clean, no expensive screen to worry about.

BTW I have a little Spiderman couch for my front row sitting of the wee little people.
