DVD-Audio would be nice. I was looking at the Samsung DVD-HD841. ANy thoughts on it. I would spend around $200 or so if necessary.

scratch the 841. I just read the reviews on this board and I dont think that is something that I could live with. Any other models?
What is your price range, and how interested are you in top DVD-video? Are you looking for an upscaling DVD player for video? The Samsung 841 and 941 are supposedly pretty good for SACD and DVD-A, given their price range, but are not so great for video (especially the 841). At the top, the Denon 3910, Pioneer 59ai, and Onkyo SP1000 are all excellent upscaling universal players. The 3910 has the best bass management features, and has HDCD decoding for HDCD-encoded redbook CDs. In between, the Denon 2900 is excellent for audio. Also, the Yamahas are worth looking at, especially for audio (2300 and 1500). And of course, there are the Sony ES players for SACD.

I have a h/k receiver so I'm also looking at the dvd31. I would like good video quality with SACD and DVD-A support. Upscaling isnt necessary. I will be using it for both video and audio so quality is very important. I would also like a menu on screen while playing cds and dvds. Do alot of players have that?
