Currently using Altec Lansing 2.1 speakers and a Sounblaster Live Value
card. I am looking into upgrading to a true 5.1 system. The upgade must
be inexpensive so in that regard I am considering the following:
New Sound Card: Audigy ZS
5.1 Speakers: Logitech Z-640
Questions:
1) With this setup will I get true Dolby 5.1 Surround sound?
2)Another option rather than buy a new sound card can I use the onboard
codec frommy P4SDX mobo and connect it to these speakers or do I need an
external surround processor?
Sorry this is my first attempt at true surround and I am confused by some of
the terms and connection types.
