I recently purchasesd A CD BY A UK BAND KEANE HOPES AND FEARS.
This was a DUAL disc.
1 disc was the stereo cd the second disc was dvd based.
It says it has music videos and the high resolution surround sound multi channel version of the cd.
It doesnt however say if its dvd audio.
Does anyone know if DUAL discs are dvd audio or are they just 5.1 surround sound ?
This cd is also available in SACD version so i wanted to make sure i got either the DVD AUDIO OR SACD.

If you have two separate discs, as your statement suggests, then you do NOT have a DualDisc.

If it is available in SACD, it might not be hi-resolution on the DualDisc (assuming the disc is a flipper, and not two separate discs). It depends on the recording label. If it's from a Sony owned label, then the DVD side will NOT be hi-resolution audio, and you'll be better off with the SACD (unless you really want the videos).

Right now, all labels not owned by Sony claim that the DVD side of DualDisc will be hi-res, but there is no obligation for the labels to stick to that.
