Ok - Based on the recent price reductions I am in the fortunate position of having the funds available to buy a big plasma - a REALLY big plasma. Unfortunately I don't think there is a stand out candidate (except maybe the Fujitsu, but I can't afford that). Here is my thinking on the various options. Is anyone else in a similiar debate? I love to hear your thought process too
Panasonic 65PHD7UY: Great contrast, a few extra inches, quiet, good price, s-video issue, all around brightness issue, bugged picture adjustment
NEC 61: Good mix of color and contrast, good price, reports of fan noise (and my ears are sensitive - I hear the clock ticking three rooms over)
Pio 604MX: Great pio color, incredible price, low bit depth, poor track record supporting commercial models
Samsung 63: Not much info on the new model, last model had no fans, price is much higher than others
Oh how I wish Panasonic would fix their gliches! I'm reluctant to spend that much given the bugs. :(
