denon dvd 2800

H E L P ! im gonna jump at any moment! my dvd player is giving me trouble. can anyone remember an old thread about the denon dvd 2800 pure progressive dvd player? i thought there was info regarding the software or some sort of download or procedure to correct some specific problem with this unit. im the original owner and have now begun to loose the voice tracks, they are not in sync with the video. i will then get broken blocks of color that run through the screen makeing the movie impossible to watch. i used a lense cleaning disk with little results. this happens on any dvd i play. when i checked denon's website they only list the dvd 2900 not my dvd 2800. and of course the fine folks at denon wont return my emails or calls. can anyone help me out? do i need to take this unit in for service, does this sound like any expensive fix? i think this unit originally booked $ 700.00-800.00 i tried my cheap dvd player and the picture isnt worth watching on my projector i am guessing its due to the internal line doubling in the dvd 2800? any help appreciated. i live in baltimore.
