Unless I am not using it correctly it looks like the Myfi is incapable of performing the function I most wanted it for. I got it for baseball so if I'm at work I can record the cubs game, pause it for meetings and then come back to listen to it where I left off. To me it looks like the unit stops recording whenever I go to listen to the previously recorded material. So unless I record the whole entire game before I start listening to it there is no use. Am I correct in how this works?

If so do you think Delphi will try to ever update the software to allow for this?

If not has anyone heard of any other XM DARs coming down the pike that might have this ability?

You are right in that the record function is limited. You can only be in one mode or the other. No listening to recorded portion while the unit continues to record ahead of you, i.e. Tivo time shift.

The Skyfi2 has the capability to record and playback at the same time, but its buffer is only supposed to be big enough for about 30 minutes. I think that might be the amount of music it can hold though. XM compresses their talk channels a lot more than the music channels, so theoretically you would be able to fit more than a half hour of a baseball game. Not sure how much more, but judging by the fact that some people have said that they get double the amount of talk vs music with the myfi, it could be up to an hour or so.
