Hey Y'all.

I'm looking for a little advice on a good, powered multiswitch. When I moved into my new house, I used D* "mover's connection" to get all of my wiring set up, and install a new HD oval dish & OTA antennae. The tech used an Eagle Aspen Powered Multiswitch. Recently, I have been unable to pull down the from the 2 HD satellites, and I had another tech guy out who told me that my multiswitch has gone bad. At best, it is intermittant. Sometimes it reads the sats with no problem, but mostly when I look at my signal meter, I get a message that says the dish is pointed at the wrong satellites. It worked when a guy came to change my multiswitch--he shows up, I put my receivers into signal strength mode, and I'm reading all 3 sats. He leaves, and when I goto watch some HD basketball 3 hours later I got nothing. Crazy, I know.

Anyway, I'm quite certain I have a bad multiswitch. I know there is someone here who knows of a great multiswitch that won't burn out my UTV tuners, and will hopefully be more solid than these Eagle Aspen ones. I think my current setup is a 5 x 8 powered switch. (does that sound right, given my receiver situation?)

Thanks in advance!

I had the same wrong satellite symprtom during a HD upgrade to my dish. They replaced my old multiswitch with an Eagle Aspen, and it all started working fine.
