The LG has 1024x768 resolution, higher than the 853x480 of the NEC but the NEC has a lot more colors which reduces the false contouring and blochy appearance or so I understand. These plasmas are close in price so where is the money better spent? My main focus will be sports and HD shows like CSI. DVD's will be played on my projector. Thanks, Wade
