HK AVR-7300

Howdy,

I am interested in any feedback regarding the Harman Kardon AVR 7300. I see the many post about the HK AVR635, but was more interested in going with the AVR7300 model.

The differences as I understand them are the 635 has the latest/greatest room eq setup, while the 7300 has built in Faroudja DCDi de-interlacing.

Other then that, and maybe some quibbled about the inputs and other minor things, they are very similar?

If I'm wrong M Code or Sanjay will jump on this thread and correct me.

Other primary differences are:
1. 7300 has more power, 110Wx7 vs 75Wx7
2. 7300 has DVD-Audio/SACD bass manager

The 635 does not have the bass management on the 7.1 inputs? That was a nice feature on my old 525.

The system first started with the Denon 5803, and 7.2 being Definitive Technology 200's up front and 4 100 around, dual subs. The Denon is gone and I am getting something that will work. That is why I am looking into the $1,000 - 1,500 price range. Can't afford that high end Denon stuff.

I would hope my choice with the more power will drive it all cleanly.
