TH-42PD50U ... Question for CES attendees.

I know that those of you who went to Las Vegas for CES were not thinking about something as pedestrian as the Panasonic EDTV...however, it is possible that someone noticed it in passing and thought "my goodness what an enormous improvement over the PD/PA 25 !!! bet it's that sub-pixel addressing scheme they came up with." Has anyone seen this rascal?

From what I've read here, they probably didn't pay much attention because of its plain jane looks (aka silver bezel).

Having said that . . . I would also like to hear any feedback . . . from any(?) who did take notice, :)

A while back someone (can't remember who) mentioned it, but just to say that the bezel wasn't as bad looking in person... not so plasticy, more like a brushed metal look. Nothing about the PQ.

I'm still skeptical... Panasonic's own promo shot sure made it look bad, imo.

i think that was me perry, we were talking about the looks and i said hopefully it will look like those snazzy samsung dlp set with that metal look instead of plastic....though i never saw it person, just hoping...

David, I may be confusing your post re metal look with another, but I'm pretty sure somebody who had seen it said it didn't look so bad in person.
