Ok I have the zenith c32v37 direct VEiw TV.

Anyway when I run any std def commponet threw the commponet input jacks the picture is rather grainy I've ran my panasonic dmr e 30 and I've just resitly bought a direct tv box the H10 HD tunner it also looks grainy. Although if the picture is HD it looks oK. For example the HD channels look good. Once it gos into 16:9 mode its seems ok.

But one odd thing is my xbox with the hd kit looks great. On eitheit input as their are two. So that's odd.

As far as the sat box I'm using monster cable THX certified cables which I pulled of the DVD player. When I watch std sat I just switch to the svid input. I've tried both cheep walmart cables and high end monster as well as the xbox cables. Same results

As far as the DVI input I'm using that for my Samsung HD931. I still need to buy a HDMI to DVI cable to test how the sat looks on that input but like I said I just got the H10 sat box so I can't afford the cable right know but can by next thursday. I wiill most likely buy online as its way cheeper then BBY.

But is their any thing I can do to inprove the picture over commponet at least with my sat as I'd really like to use that input for my sat
Is their any type of calabration I can do or setting I can change to inprove it so it looks good

I've also consiterd buying a DVI switch so I can swith betwwen sat and DVD. But those switchs are expnsive like 150 for a 2 way.

Thanks HomerX

I've been looking into buying this TV, but after hearing about the poor component quality I've been wondering if I should start looking elsewhere. It's a real deal breaker for me.

If this component problem has no solution, then do you guys have any other suggestions for a good 32-inch HDTV between $800-$1000?
