I recently set up an Infocus 4805 and dv318. I used a component hook up while waiting for my 10 meter cable from Infocus. I too had the problem of the player locking up at "HELLO" when trying to use the DVI. I spoke to a tech person at Zenith, and they felt the DVI cable was too long. I returned it to Infocus and purchased the DVI to M1 adapter to use with the DVI cable supplied with the Zenith. It worked fine, but I got those damn white dots when using the 1080i setting. In the advanced picture menu of the projector is an option called "Overscan" which removes video noise from the pictue edges. I clicked it on and the white dots are gone. I am now enjoying my dvds without any annoying problems. Hope this helps.
