Hello everyone,

Does anyone know where to buy a 8 ch amp ?

We need a amp that can power 8 sep. speakers at diff volumns that would be connected to
a receiver/cd player.

Any brand recomendations ? I think we would need 75w/ch if possible.

This amp would be for a friend of mine to use in his cabinet workshop. He need's a way to control diff. volume levels because of machine noise levels.

Thanks for the help.

Regards,
Jose

I would look at the Russound A-bus system.I just waded through a problem like this for a freind's nail salon/retail store and found that this was a much more cost effective way to go.

Easy to install using cat5e to the zone keypads for source control and local volume control. As well the keypads have outputs for a local power amp for larger power requirements than the keypad can supply (7.5watts......). They make a nice 45 watt per channel compact unit that would be easy to mount near the speakers. As well they have some pretty tough speakers that may go better in an industrial area like a cabinet shop.
they are at russound.com

Are you looking for an 8 channel power amp or an 8 channel integrated amp? It sounds like you are looking for an integrated rather than a power amp based upon your friends needs.

You can used the Russound A-bus system as skim indicated for you could use a pre-amp/amp unit and add power amps, like a NUVO type system.
