I really have to say that I know next to nothing when it comes to video scalers. I might be heading in the completely wrong direction, but.....
I have an old Unix based PC that I am trying to hook a 19" LCD to. The problem lies in the low sync frequency of the video output of the Unix box. The 19" Samsung LCD that I am using for a display shows the image just fine, but there is a serious amount of overscan. As you all are probably aware of, LCD's do not have Horizontal/Vertical Size adjustments.
The incoming signal is displayed as 33.3kHz Horizontal, 66Hz Vertical on the monitors OSD info menu.
What I am looking for is a scaler that can accept this incoming signal and convert it to a more traditional 1280x1024@60hz, eliminating the overscan.
Price is really of no relevance.
Thanks!
