I use an HDTV card in my PC to supply the High Definition content to my monitor. I have been watching HDTV like this for five years. When I am not watching TV, I use the same monitor as a computer monitor. I have been through several large CRT's over the years and lately have been using a 42" Panasonic HD plasma. I built a second HDTV PC for the bedroom and bought a 30" Sceptre LCD TV from Costco. The TV part was fine but as a computer the small print (like the light print on the medium blue background of the XP "Help and Support Center") was not clear. I exchanged the Sceptre for the 30" Phillips LCD TV, same results. I am now looking at either the Samsung 323T, Sony FWD-32LXI, Panasonic TC32LX20 or the Sharp LC32GA5U (because they will fit in the space available in the bedroom) If anyone has one of these I would appreciate finding out if the small print is readable. Thanks, Steve

I understand ya on the small print thing with 30" LCD monitors I have the 30" in my bedroom but I'm only about 5-6 feet from it and sometimes I still have trouble I am typing on it right now and I sometimes wish the type was bigger the only way to accomplish that is lower res.

Sorry not sure about your ? tough

The trick to getting readable text on any fixed panel monitor is to feed the monitor it's native resolution.

You should select a monitor that has accepts "PC Inputs". For example: The Samsung LCD's do... Panasonic & Sony's don't.

You may have to run 2 connections to your PC, depending on whether you are watching a movie, or using the PC itself... and change the input on the monitor.
