View Full Version : How can I force ANT1 to be first in the channel lineup?

I have two sources for my 50xx: ANT1 (Comcast) and IN2 (an OTA receiver).

I want the ANT1 to be first in the channel lineup (say, channels 1-99), followed by IN2 with the other channels (say, 100-199).

But the RTV always puts ANT1 last in the lineup. Is there a way I can make it first?

You must have some channels overlapping? Are your ANT channels numbered like 1002-1099?

This is how ReplayTV handles channel overlaps.

[joke]Since the channel guide scrolls in a complete circle...how can you say that the channels are on bottom ;) [\joke]

Yes, they are. I want the ANT1 channels to stay in the lower channel numbers, and the IN2 channels to get the higher numbers.

Possible?

Ah, this is helpful. Thanks.

The lineup with the most channels always occupies the lower channels numbers by design on the RTV. There is no way to manually override this AFAIK. In my case I use the analog cable lineup for analog cable input (directly from cable coax) and I use the digital lineup for OTA. This way OTA occupies the lower channels numbers (digital lineup has more channels than analog lineup) which is what I wanted. I have the luxury of doing this because my OTA channel numbers I care about match the channel numbers in digital cable lineup which may not be the case for you.

This may or may not work but it's worth a shot. Change IN2 to "none". Keep the changes and allow the replay to connect and download the guide. Now go back into setup and change IN2 to what it was before, save the changes. The new channel lineup may start with Comcast and OTA later.

My digital cable channels are 1 - 500, my analog channel got bumped up to 1201 - 1299 for some reason.

I think the only way to flip them around is to use wirns to provide a custom channel lineup, and remove enough channels from the other source to make it become the second in the listing.
