I feel that a forum devoted to home networking/AV distribution would be useful. The closest AVS forum comes to this is either the HTPC (for the computer portion - but it doesn't typically get into networking) or the Home theater builder (for running cables through walls - but it doesn't cover the computer & AV distribution side very well) forums.

Anyone interested in installing a home network via structured cable and media distribution centers is going to get overwhelmed by the different technologies and options out there. And I've found the manufacturers (e.g., Leviton, Legrand, On-Q, etc.) are really, really poor sources of information.

Anyway, a Homenetworking/AV Distribution forum would seem to be a natural extension of existing forums, and as well fill a gap in coverage provided by AVS.

Regards.

Hi! Have you checked out the Home Integration and Distribution (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=36) area of the forum? It might have what you're looking for.

Uh, that would be exactly what I was suggesting.

I'll go away now, sorry :))

p.s., thanks for steering me in the right direction!

Wow, never noticed that forum before. I kept searching on google for a good networking forum, and it was right in front of me the whole time!
