I got a Denon 1910 and its being hooked via component video to an Infocus 7205. Any DVD i play on it that is 4:3 is stretched to the full 16:9.. Ive tried every aspect setting but im sure it should be 16:9 wide. Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so do you know any fix?
Chris
Are you changing aspect ratio on the dvd player or on the projector? You can make adjustments with the IF 7205 remote.

Im only changing the aspect ratio setting on the Denon.. The projector is set to 16:9... It just seems weird that i would have to change the IF7205 to 4:3 everytime i wanna watch a 4:3 dvd..

I have the same setup as you. If you change the IF 7205 aspect ratio to NATIVE then the internal scaler will be bypassed and the image will be displayed with no resizing.

I think the 1910 pillar-boxes 4:3 content in 480p mode but not 720p or 1080i. You might try changing the output resolution on the player and seeing if it pillar-boxes properly.

I tried changing the IF7205 to Native with the Denon in 16:9 wide and it just makes a small box in the middle of my screen. The only way 4:3 dvds play right is to put it to 4:3 on the IF7205. This doesnt seem right to me.. Every DVD player ive had in the past will work with the display set on 16:9.
I am using the DVD player as 480i via component. I dont have progressive turned on. This is rather frustrating.
