i was able to dig up a little more info , i also dindt know that Romi ( the avatar of of the androma - forget the actreses name ) is Shanks wife... not that it's relavant , just found it intresting.
Farscape actor Ben Browder joined SG-1 this season as Lieutenant Colonel
Cameron Mitchell, an F-302 fighter pilot who led the squadron in defending
Earth from Anubis's attack in Antarctica in the Season Seven finale, "Lost
City." Shot down during the fight, Mitchell was promised a place on
Stargate Command's most elite team if he recovered.
Browder is joined by award-winning actor Beau Bridges, whose character
General Hank Landry is hand-picked by Jack O'Neill to be the new commander
of the S.G.C. . Amanda Tapping, Michael Shanks and Christopher Judge will
also return for SG-1's ninth season. Oscar-winner Louis Gossett Jr. will
also play a recurring Jaffa character next season.
Mitch Pileggi (The X-Files) will play a recurring character this season on
Atlantis, a hard-nosed Colonel who butts heads with both the civilian Dr.
Weir (Torri Higginson) and the military Major Sheppard (Joe Flanigan). Lt.
Aiden Ford (Rainbow Sun Francks) will be a recurring character in Season
Two.

I, for one, can't wait for the new season to begin. Being a huge Farscape fan, I'm thrilled that Browder is on board. In my opinion, SG-1 had kind of gone down hill the last few seasons. Hopefully, the new cast will give it the boost it needs. I'm also looking forward to the return of both Atlantis and BSG. When you throw The 4400 into the mix, it's shaping up to be a mighty nice summer for sci-fi fans. :)

If there is any information out there, you're likely to find it at this site:

I'm thinking about requesting the screeners.

speaking of summer sci-fi
i'm hopeing they tune down the interaction between baltar and the girl a bit .. i never could buy into a genuses (sp?) getting his mind twisted by sex.

Or was until she got the clown breasts in the last half season of Andromeda.
New season of The Dead Zone starts this weekend too. Thank god for basic cable and their summer seasons. Otherwise my replay's would be so bored.

You mean Lexa went to Tara Reid's plastic surgeon and had 2 baby heads implanted in her chest?? Woe is me!
Or was until she got the clown breasts in the last half season of Andromeda.
For your information, Mr. "jump to conclusions". Those breast were full of milk, not silicon.
That is why Brandi Ledford was brought onboard and why Andromeda was only seen from the shoulders up this season.
Lexa had not quite gotten her old figure back when the finale was shot.

That's great to hear. I'm so glad she didn't go the Pamela Anderson route and change from a beautiful woman into a cartoon character.
That kid has some work cut out for him/her to get Lexa back into shape! ;)

hmmm .. i just thought of something .. their are allot of shows and films made in the great white north ( CA ) .. it seems to me that you don't see any of the 'hollywood' crap ( get big inplants , get botox , etc ) done with any of the actors/tres that are any of those shows ....does the cooler latitude ( or is that longatude? ) snap them back to their senses?

I'm not sure in the timeline when this was filmed, but I just saw the latest episode of "The 4400" and Lexa had a guest starring role as a college professor and she looked as great as ever. (i.e. no clown breasts) :)
From the previews of the next episode she's going to be on that one also. Looking forward to it, and of course to the new season of SG-1. Hopefully she'll get lots of screen time! That will make up for the loss of Teryl Rothery who I really liked and they killed off.
Glad to see it was just me "jumping to conclusions"! But they really should put a small voiceover when things like that happen. "No, she hasn't gone insane at the plasitc surgeons office, she just had a baby and is nursing the lucky sob!" :)

acctully , one of sci-fi' smartest moves was to start their seasion in july and not in the fall like all the other stations .. just elimates the coemption their shows would have ( ok their fri night line up )
same deal with the 4400 , it's an "off seasion" show.
I love the "off season" idea. It gives me some pretty good tv over the whole year.

Stargate did not start shooting the new season until March. I am not sure about the 4400, although I suspect it was a little earlier than Stargate.
Perhaps Lexa saw the same thing you did in the Andromeda finale and made sure she was back to her old look by the time she shot the 4400 and Stargate.

heh .. i doubt this was planed but . Daniel had a sort of "re-birth" around the same time his off screen wife was giving birth.
anyway .. when your job requires that your in your best shape , most actors/tres tend to get back into shape fairly quickly after any sort of physcal off screen changes and if Lexa didnt see the need to work out , i'm shor her agent did. I doubt it was very long after giving birth before she was doing her normal daily excerises - no one looks like that without hard work and i'm betting it's been a rutine for quite some time for her.
speaking of babies
Amanda ( Tapping ) and Alan have daughter Olivia who was born on March 22nd, 2005 - in case your wondering why she is not in a good deal of this years episods.
