Fox has added a new show to it's summer line up called "The Inside" starring Peter Coyote. I just caught the first episode last night, and while I don't think this show will survive into the normal fall line-up, it might do as summer filler.

Here's a link to a pretty accurate write-up at the Hollywood Reporter (http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/thr/reviews/review_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1000947889).

And here's a link to the Fox page on this show:

Now that all the regular shows have wrapped up for the season, I've started to go through some of the filler shows that I've recorded, including this one, and I like it better than I did at first, so I think it's worth checking out.

I'm sure it's "fair and balanced".

Yup! Al Frankin is it's biggest fan! :) :P

The show is actually pretty good. I hope it lasts. But then again, I like blind-justice....

Thanks to the robman's post, I started recording this show and I've been VERY impressed. Great summer show.

Hope it gets picked up again.

But SOOOO Glad that Battlestar Galactica is back.... now my summer is complete :)

I too have been enjoying it. Pretty creepy gross at times (don't let the kids see it), but well worth recording.

I started to watch episode 4 (http://origin.fox.com/theinside/episode/episode_102.htm) (called "Everything Nice") the other day and had to shut it off because it starts off with a little kid getting killed, and as a parent that strikes too close to home.

I just had a weird thought. (and maybe it's been proposed before)
Wouldn't it be cool to create a link/command that someone could receive/click to tell DVArchive to record a particular show?
OK, 'cow moment over.

I hear you...but wait till you see "Declawed". It had me squirming out of my skin.

I referred to "creepy gross" as very "dark"

I just got through episode 5 (Loneliest Number (http://www.fox.com/theinside/episode/episode_104.htm)) so it won't be long. But given your heads-up, I might chose not to play "Declawed" (http://www.fox.com/theinside/episode/episode_108.htm) for my better half! :)

That might be possible via MyReplayTV.com but you'd have to wait a day. I'm sure that somebody can come up with a better solution.

Yea, I have just one thing to say about that. FOX.

If its good, its cancelled. Fox cancelled twice as many shows last season as the other networks.

I'm currently doing the stupid thing and watching it. I fully expect it will be cancelled. I'm going to follow the same protocal I did last season this season for new shows this fall. I'm NOT watching anything new. The good sounding shows I'll record and store in DVA. If a show survives 14 episodes, I'll start watching it, if it doesn't, it gets deleted unwatched. I'm sick of seen 5-6 episodes of an amazing show and having it pulled. (by FOX)

I do find it a little hard to watch because of the content, but I like the characters and some of the actors, so it is worth watching. It is NOT child friendly for sure.

It may be a good idea if s/he is squeemish. I know that my wife would have walked out of the family room. I watched it on an airplane to Boston.

It is cancelled, I found this on TV.com.....

FOX Entertainment President Peter Liguori takes full responsibility for the summer profiler series' "The Inside's" failure.
"I'll take the heat on how that show as scheduled," he says. "I think if I could rethink that decision, the way to have premiered that show would have been a bit earlier, right on the heels of '24's' finale, right on the heels of 'American Idol's' finale."

Instead, "The Inside" premiered on Wednesday, June 8 and promptly fell off most viewers radar, despite a strong cast and clever writing.

Despite Liguori's promises that the network will air all of "The Inside's" remaining episodes, on Friday it was announced that for at least the next two weeks it will remain off the Wednesday schedule in favor of expanded 90-minute episodes of the reality show "So You Think You Can Dance," followed by "dance themed" episodes of "The Bernie Mac Show."
Meanwhile, "Inside" stars Rachel Nichols and Peter Coyote have both jumped ship over to ABC for the fifth season of "Alias" and the new presidential drama "Commander In Chief," respectively.

I was wondering if it had been cancelled, so thanks for the heads-up. It's nice to see how networks are giving shows time to grow these days, eh???

I feel bad for Tim Minear. He keeps coming up with creative shows, and yet they all get cancelled after only a few episodes (Strange World, Firefly, Wonderfalls). :(

You are most welcome mizkittykat! I'm watching for them to at least play the last few episodes. If they do, please announce it here, so none of us miss it! Thanks!

I doubt that you'll ever see another episode of "The Inside" especially if the show's creator gets his way:

That is the worst POS I have seen in awhile - painfully bad and not funny. The pompous dance teachers waxing on about lyrical jazz is almost funny but they are serious so it doesn't work. Ans that stupid tart with the cheesy 80s sequined outifts 0 the judge lady - has studied avery facet of Paula Abdork and copied it- voice, hand gestures, intonation, comments...gawd i hated that show.
