Just curious about Tosh 30HF84 picture settings....

I'm an HDTV newb who's had a 30HF84 about a month or so now. I've used the Avia calibration disc and from it, I've got my picture settings at


Contrast: 25
Brightness: 28
Color: 22
Tint: -8
Sharpness: 12



.....and was just wondering if other owners of this model or similar 26HF84 wouldn't mind posting what they have their own settings at so I can make comparisons.

Also, if there are any basic or relatively easy service menu settings I can change for improving PQ and handling things like red push, please inform me of what they are and how I can get to them.

I'd appreciate any response here.

It's hard for people to respond to a thread like this since everybody has different viewing conditions and different lighting.

Another thing if you find the PQ too dull just raise the contrast a bit, but not too high or you will hurt your eye's from eye strain.

It's ok to raise contrast, it's not too much a worry on direct view sets, just as long as it's not too high.On my sony set the picture adjustments go from 0-63 with 31 being the middle setting.For my viewing conditions at night and day i put my contrast at 46.
