Denon dvd2200 vs dvd2900?

Can anyone advise the differences between these players.How do they compare to each other.Is one a major upgrade over the other or is one just as good as the other.Maybe someone has had the 2200 then went to the 2900 and could chime on this.thanks

The 2900 plays music better then the 2200. On paper video should be similar if not the same but many people say that the 2900 is much better then the 2200. I have the 2900 and love it. Got it off of ebay for $401 shipped, and it's worked great. Haven't tried any sacd or dvd-a because I don't have any but I'm thinking about purchasing some soon. If you do a search I think you'll find some old threads about this. I found some when I was researching which player to buy.

The audio DACs are better in the 2900 than the 2200.
