I had to reinstall all my software (what fun). Fixed most of the problems so far, but I stumpped on getting my overlay to work again. I have a three monitor set up and was able to drag my DVD image to any screen and see it play there. Now all the monitors display a desktop but the DVD image is black on all but the primary monitor.

I only installed the drivers for my 9500 card and use PowerDVD for the image display, could it be that I need to install the ATI DVD player?

Thanks, Deron.

Sounds like you are already running overlay?

What is it that you are wishing to achieve?

I guess I do not understand what overlay is then.

The problem I'm having is I can no longer play my DVD image on a secondary monitor (works fine on the primary monitor), all I get is a black window, it worked fine before I reinstalled my software so I know that I have something set wrong or there is something that I need to install.

Any ideas?

Thanks, Deron.

Turns out it was the DVD player, tried out PowerDVD 6 and that fixed the problem. But my 1.33 AMD is not fast enough for PowerDVD 6.
