What can anyone tell me about these? Has anybody seen one? I've been searching this forum every week or so for the last couple months with no results, figured it was time to ask.

Here's the spec's on their 37" from their website:

NuVision 16:9 Widescreen Deep Black LCD Panel
Provides the deepest blacks and best contrast ratio.

Very Fast Response Time 8ms
Very fast panel response for sports and fast moving action - 8 milliseconds.

High Contrast Ratio
1000:1 contrast ratio creates clear and crisp images with excellent detail.

1366 x 768 Pixel Resolution
Displays HDTV images in full 720p resolution.

NiDO Intelligent Digital Optimization
NuVision's exclusive image enhancement technology brings images to life with unbelievable clarity.

Fully Integrated Design
Includes detachable speakers, NTSC tuner and integrated power supply.

Super Bright Panel (500cd/m2)
The industry's brightest panel can be used anywhere in your home, even in brightly lit areas.

Ultra-Wide Viewing Angle
The picture will look clear and bright even at extremely wide viewing angles.

More details and other model are on their website: http://www.nuvision.com

MSRP on the 37" is $3199

I know it's only 1366x768, but they also claim to have "fully descreet IR control", which appeals to me.

Their 32" model was reviewed in the Sept 2005 issue of Home Theater Magazine and got really good numbers - some of the highest I've seen for an LCD TV that they've reviewed.

When I visited their website - they have no dealers in my state.

If you want to see the results of their black level, white level and contrast ratio visit:

Yeah, right after I bumped this thread yesterday, I picked up that issue (which had arrived Friday) and saw the review. How often do you get "news" from printed media tha hasn't already been discussed here for a month or more? Unusual...?

Availability shouldn't be a problem. With their announced agreement with EDGE Distributor Group, many custom installers will have access to them. Unfortunately, many of the small businesses doing custom install don't have showrooms, so seeing one in person may not be so easy. Much like the Optoma RP-DLP sets.

I have seen the NuVision Tv's and they have the best picture quality that I have seen.

infact there was another many who came into the shop he other day and he said that before that day if anyone told him that there was a better TV than his toshiba that he would have argued with them; however, after that day he said that the NuVision TV was the best TV that he had ever seen.

I'm reviving this thread!

I just saw these yesterday at CEDIA and was blown away (I *hate* LCDs!). I am still trying to figure out if there was some "trick" going on to make these look so good. The *only* set I've seen that looked equal or better was the Sim2 at $7K (I looked at that one for 10 minutes trying to determine what technology it was because it was *way* better than an LCD *or* plasma). In any case, I've never carried LCDs as a dealer, but I'm signing up today for them and making an order. Also because I really want their 1080p 52" LED RPTV (I hate RPTVs too and won't sell them!!!) I was hoping there would have been more threads on Nuvision to get the "AVS buzz" on them, but since there isn't I'm going in more or less "blind" and then I can see if there was some special video that made these look so good (Ultra Violet was the movie on BD, I think).
