would ther even be a visible difference seeing as 16ms is 60fps, well suitable enough. Heres why i ask. I will be purchasing a 32" aquos model in about a month. The current model i can get for 1500. The newer models will lose the dvi support but gain the 4ms response time increase. Was wondering if this miniscule difference in response time is worth losing a dvi port for? thanks in advance.

Well, I am likley wrong about this, but I swear someone posted (this forum) an intersting comment a few years back that saying LCD response time should ideally be around 3-5ms.

I forget the details but I think it went along the lines that response time should be measured from some medium gray to another medium like gray and that the response times often quoted are for black to white transitions. Apparently it's easier to go 0% to 100% than say 40% to 60%.

Back to your question: does it help? I don't know, but it can't hurt. Plus with HDMI being rammed down our throats along with HDCP then the DVI will be less of a concern.

It was Rogo who made the 3-5 ms claim.

The dual digital input might be significant if you wanted to connect both a home theater source and a computer at the same time. Only you know if that's important enough to snag the current model.

well hdmi would be used for tv and dvi for hddvd when it hits vice versa, dvi still valuable?
