Best Resolution for Sony XBR?

I'm trying to set up a friend's Sony XBR (don't know the model number, but it is from 2002) with his pc, and I can't find the best resolution and refresh rate. Does anyone have any recommended settings for this CRT and a HTPC? Thanks for the help.

1080i or as close as you can get to it

1920x1080 at 29.970 Hz interlaced

you will need to use component or DVI output

svideo is by nature limited to 720x480i
anything else you set your video card to when using svideo gets scaled to 720x480i for output
