I have no insider knowledge, but it seems like Panasonic is rolling in their 2006 models right now.

SInce they have reduced the MSRP's compared to last year's models, they have to wait until inventory of the 2005 model is depleted at retail outlets before releasing the next model - or retailers would be stuck with 2005 models that they simply could not sell when compared to the prices of the 06's.

The 42" ED plasma is already out, and that's really the only one I'm paying attention to because that's what I am interested in. The other models will appear as inventories dwindle.

If you're asking if they plan to add a 37 or 40 LCD to the lineup for 06, I have no idea.

When people here see a subject line that says "panasonic question" most here would presume it's a plasma question and the LCD guys aren't going to click on it. Now if you'd said something like "Will Panasonic ever make a 37" or 40" LCD??" you'd probably get more activity from the LCD camp :)

Nonetheless, in all my forum browsing i haven't seen any indication that Panasonic will be making any LCDs larger than they already have.

JVC (Panasonic's sister company) recently released a new 40" LCD that you may be interested in.

thanks randy....

i was impressed when i saw the panasonic hd ready 32 inch lcd the other day. what with sony and others bringing out larger sizes right now, i wondered if if panny would be doing the same. but like you, i hadnt seen any mention of it.

From my experience, most LCD flat panels at that size look like garbage. Either go with the Sony 42A10 rear-projection LCD (blows every other flat panel at that size away, imo) or go with a 37" or 42" Panny plasma.
