Will the TY-ST42PX5W pedelstal stand work with the TH-42PWD8UK?

Wondering if anybody has used the TY-ST42PX5W pedestal stand that comes with the TH-42PD50U on the TH-42PWD8UK? These stands go for pretty cheap on ebay, and I thought if they were compatible, I could paint it and use it on my TH-42PWD8UK when it arrives in a few days. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I found the specs and drawings for both the TY-ST42PX5W (supplied with the consumer model) and the TY-ST07K (compatible with the commercial model) and the dimentions are exactly the same in every way. The only difference is that the TY-ST42PX5W has 2 "legs" that connect up to the plasma, and the TY-ST07K has a long piece (basicly the 2 "legs connected together in the middle) that connect to the plasma. The "pins" that insert into the plasma on both are exactly the same size and length. Could this stand possibly work with the 42PWD8UK even though it's stated at bruzzi's site that it is compatilble with the consumer model?

Thanks.[/QUOTE]There's a recent thread about stand interchangeability that revealed some subtle differences that indicate that the newer consumer stands probably will not fit the commercial models or the previous consumer models. The upper crossbar on the older stands was fairly flat but the newer stand has raised curb like thingys that fit into recesses in the underside of the panel. There's also an issue with the hole spacing on the posts between the new and old stands that you can see in the pics.

The older TY-ST42PA20 stand from the 2004 consumer models is confirmed to work with the commercial models, but if you compare the hole spacing on the posts and the flatness of the top rail against those of the TY-ST42PX5W stand you can see they look incompatible.
