Iam about ready to calibrate my new Toshiba 34HF85 and was wondering if someone would have the service code and were I should start, I was really hoping someone might have allready done their and do I need to purchase Avia or Video essentials, anything will help, Ive seen it done but doing and watching are 2 different stories. One more ? is that my picture in the lower right corner seems a tad high watching ESPN HD it almost looks like its tilted to the left but its not the whole screen so the tilt option does Not help, will calibrating fix that or just Picture quality only. Thanks and sorry I posted in wrong place before.

Called Sears Service today, they are sending a Tech Guy out on Friday Oct7, hopefully he can Calibrate my TV, its new and under warranty, if he cant fix my bent picture I have 30days to take it back for a full refund or exchange, Iam allready looking on their website at Sonys 34inch and Sony 42 A10 LCD, Iam very upset thinking WalChan may be right, well see on Friday.

I doubt the sears service techs are ISF qualified - but an authorized service tech should be able to fix alignment errors.

Greetings

Slight alignment errors can easily fall into the category of "within factory spec" which means you are out of luck.

If the guy cant fix it, Ill have to return it or exchange for a Sony 34, Sears has two different Sony 34 inch TV's one is 1699 and the other is 1499 plus I have another 10% off coupon. I hope it can be adjusted because I like the Toshibas looks better. I called a TV service place today and he said it should be a quick fix, all I can do now is wait till the place that fixs Sears TV's shows up to work on mine.

Greetings

Non symmetrical geometry problems usually cannot be "easily" corrected.

After the repair man showed up and took the back off the TV and started twisting the tube the text blurred and I decided Ive had it with The Toshiba and took it back for a refund. Then went to CC and bought a Sony 42A10, picture quality is awesome and the TV still fits my stand, I am very happy now and havent messed with the picture setting at all, Ill keep this one, hopefully for a long time. Thanks for all the help, my DVE DVD should be here by Friday - Ill use it on my old tube TV's still remaining in the house.
