Okay I am into the configuration stage. The nitty gritty.

I have a previous installation of mce 2005, I am going to start fresh however i wanted toplay with the existing installation. I was wondering during install or after can i tell mce to use a different drive for pvr? Right now it uses mymovies I think on c drive. I would like it to have its own drive ex.. D: drive.

2nd I downloaded my movies plug in. I dont have a clue what to do. I want to rip my movies and encode to divx or just dvd shrink it. This will go on my media drive whatever lets say M: I then go through my movies and manually add each movie entry then point it to the file?
Can it see divx files? If i just used dvd shrink how would that work from a multiple file perspective? What each movie would have its own folder?

thanks.

With the ripped movies and using my dvd's can you have an icon w/ a pic instead of like a folder with the movie name?

"My Movies" can see all files that Media Center will play, so this included divx files.

Simply go to your windows start menu, the "My Movies" folder and open "Edit collection" - each movie must have it's own folder, and you point to the folder. If there are more than one divx file in the folder, a playlist is created for it to playback at once - the playlist is created based on alfabetically naming.
