I recently bought a 1920 for its 'universal' capability, and am quite happy with it. However, I've decided to keep my front projector for another year, so I have no use for its HDMI output. (PJ is component only.)
I'm wondering if I might be better off returning the 1920 and getting a used 2900(approx. same price used, maybe $100 more.)
I have 2 main concerns: How will video out via component compare between the 2 units?
The 1920 is able to set delay times for both SACD as well as A-DVD, whereas the 2900 can do it only for A-DVD. Bass management works for both formats on both players, though. How big of a concern is this? I do have many more A-DVD discs than SACD's, but am still concerned about this shortcoming. Will the superior electronics of the 2900 make up for this?
Thanks for any comments about how these 2 units compare for video and audio playback...
