Asus Silencer model is evident that will not fit, but before to buy the non-gt model I was wondering if I can do something to fit the Gigabyte 6600gt Silent Pipe into the Ahanix D5 media center enclosure.
Thanks!

Any one has installed a passive tower sink as CPU cooling?
I put one of those older gold zalman heatpipes on a fullsize ATI 9600XT.

It fits in the D4 with plenty of clearance. The D5 is 5.32 inches tall. From a post I post here
http://htpcnews.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=12608&hl=
The heat pipe rises roughly 1/2inch above the card and from my mobo to the top of the heat pipe is roughly 5 1/4 so it might not fit. You could always mod the case top if thats the case you want. BTW http://www.pcalchemy.com/index.php/cName/htpc-cases is haveing a case sale right now.

If it's the one with the heatpipe going over the top of the board, it will not fit. I can't even put a connector into a chaintech 710 soundcard and still close the case on a D5. There's less than 1/4 of an inch clearance.
