Hi,

I'm in the market for a larger LCD panel, for a bedroom armoire (40" wide). I've looked at the Sharp 37" (speakers on bottom), the Sony 40" Bravia (XBR too rich for my blood) and the Samsung 40". I can get the Samsung or the Sony (non XBR) for $$$ (CDN).

I haven't seen any threads anywhere on the Sammy, why?

Thanks,

EDIT>>

mod note: no price talk, please. MSRP only, thanks.

Ken

Samsung LCD's and plasma screens seems to have a huge disadvantage in comparison with other players in this field. Samsung's DNIE engine is the cause of all this trouble an unfotunatelly this particular feature on their systems can not be disabled. You have to live it or just go and buy something else .... :(

ohhhhh, that DNIE, i thought it was some kinda MSN lingo lol.

Thanks for the clarification. So is DNIE like the dreaded velocity scan modulation?
