I'm waiting anxiously for information on removable storage. As one of the 30M+ Nintendo fans that saw the GC as a train wreck I cannot wait to download the classics and play them at 480P.

It has been a huge blast downloading games to my 360 and there are not that many to download. With the whole classic Nintendo library available (provided its priced reasonably per game) I'm going to need a hard drive. I have my fingers crossed that we will be able to connect a large USB device.

Hmmmm, I wouldn't call it a 'train wreck' that's pretty harsh. There are a few things I didn't care for but the Cube has gotten a lot of use in my home.

As always I think the Nintendo systems just need more good games on their systems. Since the N64 it seems like there is always a software drought for long periods while they miss out on some of the bigger titles that other systems get.
And the Cube was certainly affordable. I just hope for high def support this next time around, I'm hoping that changes. Otherwise Nintendo is what it always does which is prvide fun games.

Reading the new articles on the Revolution site, I'm a bit conflicted. Having already purchased the 360, I'm only going to buy one more console for this gen. I am very interested in the gameplay that the Revolution controller may open up, but am given pause when reading its hardware called a "souped up XBOX". Not only does this mean that we won't see HD resolutions, but we also might not see enhanced physics and AI because of the limits of the CPU. Additionally, the number of players in the online environment might be limited.

So it seems that while the controller may offer new and interesting types of gameplay, a degree of immersiveness will be lost due to the hardware shortcomings. Two steps forward, two steps back so to speak. Please to do not misunderstand me: I am not ripping on the Revolution. I'm just expressing the opinion that the controller is going to have to be even more incredible than previously touted to overcome the systems hardware.

I swear i've heard something to the effect of Revo supporting SD cards - great if youve got a camera or something that uses them...but will that be enough? that's questionable....

Yes, from everything I've read, the Revolution will use SD cards. Probably something along the lines of 512MB to 1 GB starting out. Could go higher. Don't forget though that those older NES, SNES games don't take up a ton of memory. Nintendo has said that there will be USB ports on the Revolution, so some type of mass storage device is not out of the question. Chances are Nintendo won't let you slap any old hard drive on the device, it will probably have to be Nintendo approved and be sold by Nintendo.

SD cards will work just fine. Starting with the SNES games get somewhat large if we are looking at standard game save cards.
