After messing with this all afternoon I'm at a loss. Besides the overscan problem, I have an annoying flicker that I can't remove. I have a DVI-HDMI cable running to the tv connected to an XFX GeForce FX 5700 Ultra dual DVI out video card. I have tried using powerstrip to adjust the overscan but whenever I adjust the settings the flicker turns into a jitter, I can't get a smooth picture from the TV. I've tried adjusting virtually every setting in powerstrip to no avail. Does anyone have any suggestions?

well 1080i has flicker cause its interlaced, and 720p gets converted to 1080i which therefore has flicker
if you want a flicker free resolution, you will have to use 720x480p which is a 4:3 resolution
furthermore you do not need powerstrip, use the most current nvidia drivers or MCE nvidia drivers which have added tools
although you cannot remove overscan on 480p mode only 720p or 1080i
at least in the nvidia drivers, I guess then you might need powerstrip
but I would at least start by using the drivers
