I just took delivery of a Syntax LT32HVM. Overall, it's a great display. However, there is one annoying issue. I have a Satellite box, Comcast box and a DVD player hooked up to it. The satellite box is connect via S-video, the comcast box and DVd are connected via component cables. With both the satellite and Comcast HD box I can notice very faint herringbone lines in some spots. It seems to occur only with grayish or darker colors. Whites and bright colors appear perfectly. This occurs even with HD video. The DVD player doesn't seem to experience the same issue. I have tried switch cables and ports but the problem seems to stay with the sources. My old non-HD tube TV has no problems.

Any ideas on if it's some type of interference or a problem with the set? I was thinking about getting a power conditioner to see if there is noise in the line.

I just got my LT32HVM set up and noticed the same thing. Initially I had a Dish 522 DVR connected to S-video 1 and an Upconversion HDMI DVD player connected via Component 1. I saw the herringbone pattern when watching a DVD (most noticeably in the dark, black bar areas), but the Dish picture looked OK (for S-video). I decided to buy a HDMI to DVI cable and hook up the DVD player via DVI and the picture is clear (on all resolutions - 480p, 720p, 1080i). I was thinking of calling Syntax and asking about this. The thing is, I plan on upgrading to HD cable (from Dish Network SD), but I'd want to use the DVI input for the HD box. So I'd have to go back to Component for the DVD and the herringbone pattern will most likely show. It's not all that noticeable from 5+ feet away, but I'll know it's there...
