Pioneer 4350 Display Issue (4:3 Mode)

I recently started havig an issue with content that I am watching in 4:3 mode. In the area that should be the black bars on the left and right, there is the black and white image of what is showing on the screen except in widescreen format. It looks as though as there is a black and white images showing in the background in widescreen, but the color images shows up in the 4:3 window. Any thoughts? I'm guessing I pressed a wrong setting somewhere.

You switched the side mask feature to "auto".
Press the "home menu" button. Select "option", "side mask". Auto does what you're seeing. Fixed gives you plain gray bars.
