I have a JVC DLA-G20U projector and have tried some of the new DVD HD players and have been disappointed to say the least. The pictures are darker and not as clear. It appears to me that they have done something for copy protection that does not allow one to get the best performace. Am I right or wrong. I am using just a plain progressive scan DVD player for now as the new stuff has been very disappointing for me. Have they designed this new stuff just for HDTV's and not considered those with nice projection home theater systems?

PS I get white lines at the top and bottom of my picture. This indicates to me that the DVD player is under scanning the chip. If I use the posistion adjustment on my projector I can get rid of the top lines but the bottom lines stay and vise versa.
